What is 4-H?

  • 4-H is an exciting program designed for youth ages 5 - 19 with an interest in developing citizenship, leadership and life skills.

  • 4-H clubs are volunteer led and provide oppor-tunities for youth to learn through hands-on activities. Curriculum is

What does 4-H offer?

Several types of 4-H Programming:

  • Community 4-H Club: these clubs focus on various subjects

  • Project 4-H Club: these focus on one project area

  • 4-H Special Interest Group: meeting for a specific learning experience involving at least six hours (short term)

  • School Enrichment

  • Afterschool Opportunities

Opportunities to get involved in 4-H at the local, district & state levels:

State 4-H Congress, Judging Teams, County/District 4-H Contests, County & State Fair, 4-H competitions, Teen Leadership opportunities and Specialty Weekend Camps

 

Junior 4-H Camp

A week-long summer camp at Jamestown 4-H Center offers canoeing, air rifles, marine science and much more. Campers enjoy singing around the camp fire and meeting new friends.
